We are locked, loaded, and ready to pour. We’ve been working hard to bring you the highest quality liquid we can for the past 18 months, and we’re pleased to announce that you can finally come enjoy a full beer inside the very brewery where it’s made! The Castle Island taproom opens to the public this weekend.
CIBC TAPROOM FAQS
We’ve received a number of logistical questions from folks leading up to the taproom opening, so we figured it would be best to share them (and the answers) with the lot of you. Here’s what’s on your mind:
Q: What are your hours going to be?
A: Monday: 4-8pm
Q: Are you guys filling growlers/crowlers?
A: Not yet, no. We’re holding off for now while we get settled in our new digs.
Q: Will the retail shop be open so I can bring beer home?
A: You betcha. Retail will be open right up until closing on any day that we’re open.
Q: Will there be any food?
A: Yup! We’ve got snacks from Mi Niña tortilla chips, Chica de Gallo salsa, Wicked Twisted pretzels, and Kalahari Biltong jerky, plus a rotating line of foodtrucks.
Q: What about non-beer drinks?
A: That too. We are proudly serving Spindrift flavored seltzers and we’ll have cold brew coffee ON NITRO from Karma Coffee.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Unfortunately not. While we love our furry friends and have enjoyed hosting them in our tasting room in the past, now that we’re serving full beers and food we have made the difficult decision to no longer allow dogs. We do plan on having canine-specific events in the future, but outside of those special occasions we cannot allow Fido in the Taproom.
Q: What about kids? Can I bring mine?
A: Kids are allowed in the taproom except on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays after 7pm, when anyone entering the taproom must be 21+. Other than that, as long as kids are under adult supervision while they’re in our taproom, they are more than welcome to come along.
Q: What’s the best way to get there?
A: We really want everyone to get here and back home safely, so we encourage you to take a cab/Uber/Lyft or bring a DD if possible. If you are driving, we have plenty of parking on site but we do suggest carpooling since it’s always more fun to travel with friends.
