Private Event Sales Manager

The Private Event Sales Manager position is an integral role in maximizing the revenue generated from our taprooms and hospitality program. This position will be responsible for managing, executing, and growing the events program at both our Norwood and South Boston taprooms. The Events Sales Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for all incoming event requests and will remain the primary contact through event booking and execution. They will work with Taproom management to plan, organize, staff and execute all events. They will also be responsible for tracking event sales and revenue generated and reporting to senior management on progress toward goals. They will be charged with creating unique offerings and guest experiences that enhance the events program and align with larger brand and company goals, and with developing new business relationships to further grow the events program.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for fielding, tracking, categorizing, and responding to all private event requests
  • Organize, plan, cater and direct all private events, ranging from table rentals to buyouts
  • Create and manage Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for every party and disseminate event information as needed
  • Work with and coordinate with in-house kitchen partner to create unique catering and menu options for events
  • Meet with event clients and vendors to sell the event space & packages
  • Build & maintain lasting relationships with local businesses, vendors, and event clients
  • Seek out new event business, networking, and vendor relationships to grow the events program and revenue
  • Further develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for event planning and execution
  • Accurately receive, record and track event fees/deposits, final payments, and gratuity
  • Manage escalated day-of issues during events calmly and efficiently
  • Disseminate all event information to Management and Location Staff
  • Other duties as assigned

Weekly responsibilities

  • Plan and allocate labor for all events, working in conjunction with Taproom Management
  • Communicate day-of event steps including setting up, coordinating vendors, and timing and break down of events

Periodic Responsibilities

  • Continually review and modify event options and packages to create the best possible experience for clients
  • Assist with the planning and execution of internal company events, in partnership with the Marketing Team
  • Serve as point person for VIP visits
  • Oversee large and VIP day-of event steps including setting up, coordinating vendors, and timing and break down of events
  • Review preferred vendor list for events program and revise as appropriate to improve cost, performance, and offerings
  • Work with Marketing Team to assist with special public events surrounding various company initiatives
  • Interact with health officials, law enforcement, and city, state, and federal representatives as needed

Compensation

  • $45,000-$50,000 salary plus 5% commission on Private Event Sales
