Our commitment to inclusivity and excellence extends far beyond our four walls. Since we started, community engagement and charitable giving have been foundational building blocks in our pursuit of a better world. Up until 2020, in-person fundraisers were the main ways we’ve built community and support for causes we love. However, those quickly stopped that year. Through this world shift, we learned that we need to ensure that we give back, especially when times are uncertain.
We focused our philanthropic efforts into the Fiver Initiative, a charitable giving program supported by global sales of Fiver, our year-round Hazy IPA. For every giving year – the period from December 1st through November 30th – we contribute five percent of all sales of Fiver directly to the program, with proceeds split evenly among five charities at the end of the year.
Our Fiver charitable partners are selected by a internal committee made up of a diverse set of Castle Island team members across all departments. The committee is tasked with selecting five different charities to represent five causes we care about: Arts & Education, Social Justice & Equality, Environmental Sustainability, Animal Welfare, and Public Health.
